Coastal Pro Wrestling promoter Phil Varlese received the following statement from the promoter/owner/wrestler at Force 1, Johnny Calzone, that was posted on their Facebook page, and sent to former Force 1 fans:

A lot of people have been asking me to comment on the fact that coastal pro wrestling is running in Force 1′s old stomping grounds in hammonton, Nj, at Rollway Skating Rink on March 9.

I know the promoter and owner of Coastal, Phil Varlese, and I’ve known him for a long time. Phil is a good friend of mine. He has always been straight forward with his business practices and has always been honest and forthcoming whenever he has any issues. Phil contacted me about a month ago, and asked me if I would mind if he ran in our “territory”. I thanked him for being so respectful, and I even told him that I would be at the show to wish him the best, as he has been whenever Force 1 ran in that town.

There is only one thing I ask of all of you force 1 faithful fans that read this message: Please, make sure to come out and support Phil and his new endeavor on March 9, at 7:30 pm at Rollway Skating Rink on 131 s. 2nd road in hammonton. The bell time is at 8 pm and the doors open at 7:30.  One more thing. Force 1 will never die.

Coastal promoter Phil Varlese commented on Calzone’s message to the fans, saying that it’s come full circle for him.  “When I started the Force One promotion with Iron Man Tommy Cairo back in 2007, our plan was to expand into Hammonton and other areas in the South Jersey area which we did over the next several years.  Johnny Calzone was one of our original students, and we reached those goals through guys like Calzone, Ryu Lee (Matt Saigon), Razor Rivera, Bear Borselli, Josh Adams, Anthony Graves & Kevin Cunningham.  While it saddens me to see that Force One is no longer in business, I’m happy to take the opportunity to return family oriented pro wrestling to the South Jersey area.  I have nothing but respect for Johnny Calzone, and hope that all of the old Force One fans will come out to support our new venture into the old Force One territory starting on March 9th at the Rollway Skating Rink in Hammonton.
