Big news for Coastal Pro Wrestling fans attending the “One Force” show that will take place on March 9th. Many of you know that former Coastal Iron Man Champion Kevin Tibbs was forced to forfeit his title due to his inability to defend it on the October, 2012 show, which resulted in “The Cuban Crippler” Ricky Reyes defeating Sebastian Cruz to win the title.
Coastal management, in an effort to continue to make the Iron Man title the most significant championship in the greater New Jersey area, has announced a 3 way (and possible 4 way) match to determine the number 1 contender for Reyes’ Iron Man title.
They have selected the top candidates for the belt. Josh Adams, formerly known as “The Hybrid”, has demanded that the fans now call him Josh “Absolute” Adams. He’s been on a winning streak of late, and had been involved in a feud with indy star Spartan this past year, where audiences cheered both men after each grueling match. Josh is no stranger to this building, as he’s worked at the Rollway Skating Rink during his time with the now defunct Force 1 promotion..
Several weeks ago, we held a vote to determine the number 1 contender for the Coastal heavyweight title, held by Biggie Biggs. Fans were allowed to write in their favorite wrestlers, and a young worker named Jael Rose was given an overwhelming vote from NJ wrestling fans. While he didn’t receive enough votes for a heavyweight title shot, he did catch the attention of Coastal officials, who thought enough of his work to place him into the Iron Man title mix.
Braydon Knight is no stranger to Coastal action. He’s had several victories in Coastal of late, one of which is over former Coastal Heavyweight Champion Patch, which qualified him a for a shot at this title as well. Knight has had a tryout with TNA, and has also appeared on RAW.
An invitation to this qualifying match was also given to the former Iron Man Champion Kevin Tibbs, but it still undetermined if Tibbs will accept the opportunity to again qualify for a title shot against the man who took the title (although Tibbs never lost it). Once Coastal officials hear from Tibbs, they will announce whether he will also be participating in this match.
Again, this show is scheduled for March 9th at the Rollway Skating Rink in Hammonton, NJ, with a 7:30 pm bell time. Matches already announced include a Coastal Heavyweight Championship defense, as Biggie Biggs takes on challenger Edouard Gillette, and in a battle of former Ring of Honor stars, “The American Psycho” Alex Payne challenges current Iron Man Champion Ricky Reyes.
Tickets are $12 for ringside seats, and $10 for general admission seating, and are available presently at BrownPaperTickets, and other additional ticket outlets soon.
